What JOEY can do right now

JOEY runs on an autonomy ladder, from draft-only up to a fully autonomous agent. This page is the honest, current answer to "what does JOEY actually do on my behalf today," not a roadmap dressed up as a feature list. Every rung below either is live, or is clearly marked as not live.

Current rung: 0, draft-only. JOEY reads leads and prepares draft replies. A human reviews and sends every message. JOEY does not send anything to a customer on its own.

    Draft-only

    Live today

    JOEY reads leads and writes draft replies for a human to review and send.

    Spec phase: Pre-P0 (current default)

  2. RUNG 1

    Shadow send

    Shadow mode (logged, nothing sent)

    JOEY prepares a send and logs what it would have sent, but nothing goes to the customer.

    Spec phase: P0-P1 scaffolding + shadow mode

  3. RUNG 2

    Guarded send (unreleased)

    Not built yet

    JOEY can send, but only after every compliance guard passes on the server for that tenant.

Higher rungs are not enabled by flipping a setting. Each one requires server-side compliance guards (opt-in checks, quiet hours, per-customer cooldowns, and honoring any note that a human has already taken over a conversation) to be built and verified before a single coworker is allowed to pilot it, and a named sign-off before it is ever turned on for a dealership.
