Signing Up and Your First Day
What happens between creating your account and JOEY sending its first message.
Creating your account
Sign up starts at getjoey.app/signup with your name, dealership, and email. The signup form searches an existing dealership list as you type, or lets you add your dealership if it is not listed yet. You pick your state from the same form, which is how JOEY knows which state-specific compliance rules apply to your account from day one.
Every new account starts on a 30 day free trial. No card is required to start the trial, and you can explore the dashboard, set your voice, and set your schedule before anything goes live.
What activates immediately
As soon as you sign up you can open your dashboard, personalize your voice (name, tone, signoff) under Account, and set your working schedule so JOEY knows your hours, your Extra Time window, and your Overtime window. These settings save right away and take effect the moment your account is fully connected.
What our team finishes during setup
JOEY works inside your dealership CRM, currently DriveCentric, with more CRMs planned. Connecting your account to a live DriveCentric login is a step our team finishes during onboarding rather than something you configure yourself in the dashboard, since it involves credentials for a system outside JOEY. If you have questions about where your connection stands, reach out from the Help page.
Copy across the app is kept honest on this point on purpose: JOEY begins sending on your behalf once your CRM connection is active, not the instant you finish the signup form.
Where to go next
Once you are in, the fastest path is: set your voice and schedule in Account, install the browser extension so you can see JOEY drafts inside DriveCentric, and check the dashboard for your live send stats once your connection is active. The rest of this documentation walks through each of those in order.
